2019 Aurora City Cross Country Invite

PLACE:         MARMION ACADEMY – 1000 Butterfield Rd., Aurora

                        Course on the school property. Distance for each race 3 miles.

Schedule:        Course tour 8:00 am

                        9:00 AM Girls Varsity (unlimited entries)

                        9:30 AM Boys Varsity (unlimited entries)

                        10:00 AM Girls FS (unlimited entries)

                        10:30 AM Boys FS (unlimited entries_

Entry Fee:      $100 Boys or Girls only

                        $200 for both Boys/Girls teams

Participating Schools: Aurora Central Catholic, Aurora Christian, East Aurora, IMSA,

                                    Marmion, Metea,Valley, Rosary, Waubonsie, Valley, & West Aurora

Entries: Chip timing and scoring will be used. Coaches must go to the following site to place entries. (ATHLETIC.NET) DUE BY NOON TUESDAY, AUGUST 27th.  Please enter all runners for boys and another for girls.

 If you have a problem contact Carol Bell at 630 292-5779 cell. You do not have to state what races they will compete in.

STARTING BOXES:  The box system will be used with the team boxes assigned by the meet manager.

Each runner as they finish the race will receive a back-up place number.  The runner should give the place card to his/her coach.  The coach will write the name and places of his/her runner on the outside of the envelope provided, in the order that they finished, and turn in the place cards with the envelope to the meet officials at the scoring table.  A PROMPT RETURN OF TEAM RESULTS WILL FACILITATE QUICKER MEET RESULTS.

Return all chips in the envelope you received them in within 15 minutes of the conclusion of the meet.  You will be billed for any missing chips - $20 per chip.

Awards:         1^st and 2^nd place team trophy.    All races 1-25 finish will receive medals   

Athletic Trainers will be on site.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

                                                RACES WILL START at 9:00 AM

1. Upon arrival drop athletes off at the designated area near main entrance of school.

      Bus drivers’ should park vehicles in the main lot by the tennis courts.

2.  Coaches should check in with the Meet Manager at the Scorer's table to receive an

           envelope with maps and last minute instructions. 

      3.  Chips will be provided for each participant. 

      4.  Contestants must wear a regulation track uniform and running shoes. 

      5.  Tour of course will begin at 8:00 a.m.

6.  Concessions will be available.  Washroom facilities will also be available.  Please  respect Marmion's Facilities

NO ONE IS ALLOWED ON THE ABBEY PROPERTY.
